Murdered girl - case solved?

A few months ago (maybe even Xmas time) a 16 yr old girl had gone missing in the Reading (I think) area. She was found dead (and seriously assaulted) after her friend managed to escape (with a gunshot wound to the head) and get help.

I can't remember the girls' name to look it up and wondered if they had caught anyone. It took place not far from me and I was just thinking about it.
