If one boasts of building a useless wall in order to whip up support from gullible public for your presidential campaign one expects the claim to be well known and discussed. Especially if accompanied by some ridiculous claim of getting someone else to pay for the folly. Without such a high public profile walls won't get discussed much. So, not that surprising, and consequently not that interesting.
A country *does* need borders that it controls. However fleeing to a refugee camp in a neighbouring safe country awaiting a chance to return home ought to be an option. As long as refugees aren't expecting to automatically become immigrants instead. Neighboring country's ought not be obliged to accept masses of refugees at border camps, but are morally expected to do so. But they can find themselves overwhelmed and may need aid from other nations to contain and run any help they provide.

I invited stupid answers... Correct and ABers passed that test.
I see despite a link exposing the rank hypocrisy the stupid answers continue.
//Turkey has barricaded its border to Syria with the help of funding from the European Union. There are few options left for Syrians trying to flee the brutal war in their home country and those who do risk death//
