News tonight
In Helsinki (*) President Trump regretted the information given by the FBI, CIA, NSA, (to wit that Russian had interfered in the US election) and preferred Putin's version that he hadnt

and tonight - he clarified that he hadnt said - - - he would
he had in fact said - - he wouldnt

(*) as a result of the French footie victory - Helsinki has been renamed - - "He'll sink us!"
{little AB joke)

you need a question?
er why is "would" different to "wouldnt" when it comes to Mr Trump ?

yeah but no but

it is yes one day and no on the second .....
I'm of the opinion that he'd do that with any statement, not none.

er I think I modelled it on Churchill's
"Do I have no general who can win a battle?"
after Ritchie's defeat 1941....

but I may have mis-remembered it

Hey the Beeb seem to have mis-construed it
Last night the Beeb were saying - "so what? he has 94% approval "(actually in his own party which is kinda low to me)
and tonight it is all - oo-la-la isnt he a jerk !
Question Author
can someone - a deep thinker perhaps - tell me what

I cant see why it wouldnt be Russia ( interfering )

actually means. The Prez (bless!) admits it is a double negative.
I had double negbatives beaten out of me fifty years ago on the grounds of lack of clarity.

I have arrived at 'I didnt say "dont do that!" is NOT equivalent to 'I said "Do that!" '
I just dont know what it means .....

deep thinkers out there - HELP!
