The passengers must have been terrified at the time. Yet another example of the hidden costs of smoking.

Prudie - // yeah I get it but but - have you any idea how many buttons pilots probably have to press during flights? // A lot, which is why they train for years, and get paid eight-figure salaries to make sure they know what to press and when. To try and defend this idiot because there are 'a lot of buttons to press' is farcical.

Minkyme: “No one was smoking, he was vaping.”
99.9% of vapers are smokers who can’t give up, his habit endangered the plane.
Pixie: “He turned off the wrong control. It isn't even directly due to the vaping.”
He was trying to turn of the control to stop the smoke entering the cabin, if he had not been vaping/smoking then that would not have been necessary, QED it was directly due to vaping.

I would not want to fly with a pilot who was so incompetent he could not do something as simple as turning on/off an air conditioning fan without a mistake. What if he had lost an engine or had a fire onboard and was trying to make a full emergency descent & landing? That is about a million times more complicated. ''Sorry I pressed the wrong button'' would not go down well. (but the plane may 'go down well')
