Actually they are technical papers on what businesses need to do in a no deal Brexit. Which is only right and proper. I didn’t get to the bit where it said there technical papers were bad news items.

The EU have been giving out similar notices to businesses in the EU for some time.

I have been thinking like naomi at 17.17. This could all be an elaborate bluff of course, to force the EU to impose terms that are seen to be completely unacceptable by even the most rabid of remainers - but I doubt it. We hear for ever about Mrs. May's sense of duty and it could be that she is doggedly plodding on, but I'm unconvinced.

The thing is, though, that May spent absolutely ages proclaiming loudly and clearly that "No deal is better than a bad deal." Some people listening clearly believed this rhetoric -- but now it seems that: either she's woken up to the fact that this was never true; or she knew it was false all along, but hoped that the EU would call her bluff.

In either case, while I agree that she needs to go, I disagree strongly that she is in any way treasonous. Like anyone else in the job, she's been caught out by the reality of our situation; we need a PM who's more honest about what's facing us.

Sure benefits are useful too for a balanced picture, and Lord only knows what the general public, as opposed to commercial concerns, can do with the info, apart from unnecessarily worry, but good that those with responsibility will know what to avoid. They may be too incompetent and overpaid to know otherwise.

But there will be no ridiculous further vote in an effort to portray the UK as flip-flop indecisives who don't know their own mind and continually want to consider U turns; so the public doesn't get a chance to fail to stick to anything regardless what worries are put out. So no real issue.

The MPs are tasked to do the job, they should get on with it. The EU are determined not to blink first and so are forcing No Deal, and the biggest fly in the ointment is any idiotic proposal that compromises past the red lines and fails to deliver the basic requirements of a Brexit.

Of course no deal is better than a bad deal. Should go without saying since it's common sense. With no deal you are at point zero and can build; with a bad deal you are at a minus point and need to fight to get to a position as good as point zero.
