Lots of 'first times' on here, including the first in this post to sign in on the Koran. Where is Britain heading?

fiction-factory, //His complaint to the prison authorities was dismissed //

Well, there's a surprise!

I must have missed the answer to my question.....

Equally I could ask how you can be objective Talbot? You seem to believe all Weston's claims

Here's a simple one for you... Provide the evidence for that little gem.
Talbot- it's at least as good as Weston's/your evidence about Robinson.
That's all for tonight. You can have the last word if you want.
I should think it is FF... How much unsubstantiated rubbish can one person spout in a day.
Only TR has problems in prison? I think not.

https://howardleague.org/news/a-welcome-fall-in-deaths-in-custody-but-new-record-highs-for-violence-and-self-injury-in-prison/
Violence and self-injury in jails have soared to record levels as overcrowding continues to put pressure on the prison system, figures seen by the Howard League for Penal Reform reveal today (Thursday 25 January).

Official data published by the Ministry of Justice show that 28,165 assaults were recorded in prisons in England and Wales in the 12 months to the end of September 2017 – a 12 per cent rise on the previous year.

They included 7,828 assaults on prison staff – a 22 per cent rise compared to the previous 12 months.

Incidents of self-injury rose by 12 per cent to 42,837 over the same period.

It means that incidents of assault and self-injury are at their highest levels since current recording practices began in 1978.

The figures show that 295 people died in jails in 2017, including 70 people who lost their lives through suicide.

184 people were recorded to have died of natural causes. Investigations into the deaths of a further 38 prisoners remain incomplete, with more information awaited. There were three apparent homicides in prison in 2017.
Naomi- sorry you don't understand. I'll say it again. Your question is flawed- it's based on false premise. Dare I say it's a silly one. If and when there is compelling evidence I may choose to consider it, and may agree with Robinson, but at the moment it's just an allegaton from an unreliable source - a serial criminal with an axe to grind and supporters to please
>How much unsubstantiated rubbish can one person spout in a day.

Well Weston managed 11 minutes on that clip and his supporters have continued the nonsense all day without any real evidence
Ellipsis, perhaps the Howard League would be good enough to investigate Tommy Robinson’s complaints … but I won’t hold my breath.

fiction-factory, //sorry you don't understand.//

I understand your agenda very well indeed.
You're continuing to spout rubbish, FF.

You should really be apologising or at least holding your hands up.

Another good video here, Brian London addresses Melanie Phillips (whom, like him, someone I normally agree with) and the odious Sun newspaper, but chillingly asks, whither Tommy?
Khandro, the end of that made my blood run cold.
Melanie Phillips concisely and accurately dismantled the entire Robinson conspiracy and victim theory nonsense in a recent Times article. And she’s no liberal leftie.

ichi; To be wrong once is acceptable, but to repeat the error twice, inexcusable,
You are still beating this dead horse? Wake up, the guy's a scum-ball.
There are probably plenty more deserving who are at the whim of the so-called law but don't have the social media to wail for them.

The Americans have been hoodwinked by the alt right etc as they don’t realise the U.K. has such tough laws on contempt. It’s Noraid and the hunger strikers again only other side of the Irish Sea
Ich... the Robinson plea bit.

Is Robinson lying about not pleading guilty?

Assuming he isn't what do the many posters who categorically stated he pleaded guilty and was hence sent to jail have to say now?
AZardoz , //the guy's a scum-ball//

That’s as may be – personally I think it’s a little harsh – but whatever he is, he speaks the truth and doing that in this country in this day and age takes courage. That our supposedly upright and fair system should need to be called into question in such a manner is, frankly, not only disgraceful, the implications are frightening. Why people here who are intent solely on character assassination can’t see that - or simply refuse to acknowledge it - is beyond me. Be careful what you wish for folks.
It should be pretty obvious that the opinion "[Tommy Robinson] speaks the truth" is just that. I don't think I've heard a thing he says that's even remotely close to the truth, merely his warped version of reality that, for some reason, is popular -- but popularity was never a replacement for accuracy.

I don't for a second believe his claims about ill-treatment in prison either, at least in so far as they are specifically directed at him. The letters he wrote screamed "I'm paranoid", and that's all there is to it.
