Can you imagine the liberal PC claptrap he would have insisted on including? Don't know what they were thinking in the first place. His 2012 Olympic opening ceremony was embarrassing enough with all the dancing nurses, as if the UK was the only country in the world to have nurses and doctors.

I wonder if his film would have been as full of liberal PC claptrap as Trainspotting/2, Slumdog Millionaire and Shallow Grave? //
I instantly thought of Shallow Grave, one of my favourite films, as somewhat 'lacking' in liberal PC claptrap, being the result of the effect of a large amount of money on some deeply unpleasant people.

"You've never heard of anyone , have you :-) "
No, very few people in the so-called "entertainment" industry, Baz, in particular those in the "movie" business. I haven't been to the cinema since 1979 (and have no plans to go in the near or distant future). I think I can count on my fingers the number of films made since then that I've seen on the telly or on aircraft that I could actually say were worth watching. In general I work on the assumption that any film I happen to watch will be rubbish and am pleasantly surprised very rarely. I make it a firm rule never to watch any film that has been nominated for or received any awards (especially Oscars). I watched two ("Ghandi" and "A Passage to India") in the last twenty or thirty years and that's four hours or so of my life wasted. I've neer been that impressed with the film industry and am even less so now most of them seem to be made by computer instead of getting real people to act before the cameras (which is often painful enough).

yes..the following
"Quick - rope Idris Elba in , to direct ; then he can stay on to take the lead in the next one "
just another attempt to destroy our identity...
you can imagine the chip on shoulder uproar that would be induced from blacks (andno doubt the leftielibtard snowflakes) if Shaft were made with a white playing the part...or kunta kinte with a white cast

I'm with Jim about the 2012 Ceremony, thought it was fabulous and different - there were some detractors (always will be) but it was globally well received and gained awards and was nominated for others.
I can't comment on the Bond 25 Movie as I'm not a fan but better they have someone who is in agreement really.
Plus it will free him up to do something else good.

I don’t know much about Danny Boyle and I don’t know what his problem is here, but I am aware that he orchestrated the opening ceremony for the Olympics, which apart from the appearance of Paul McCartney (BIG and highly embarrassing mistake in my opinion), was absolutely spectacular, and I thought Slumdog Millionaire superb too.
