Our Dog Swallowed Rubber Bits
16 Answers
because of sicking up small chewed rubber bits we took our little Old Tyme Bull dog (rescue) in to the vets for a scan. We were told that there is not a blockage and just a few bits left in her tummy and so she had an injection to keep her food down and caster oil to move the last bits. Over this Bank Holiday she has had very dark runny poo and a bit of sick and just now a very small amount of blood from her nose. I`m on the verge of a call out vet and seeing our vets in the morning. She does not want any food, can anyone let me know what they think please?

If this was MY dog, she would already be at the vets now. Don't like the sound of blood coming out of her nose at all ...

The "dark runny poo" is just what you want and was what the castor oil was prescribed for.
I can also understand her being off her food and being a bit sick
Blood from the nose is a bit difficult to explain, but as long as it only a small amount, then no big deal.

Thank you so much, it is what I wanted to hear, all of your answers were as I thought...calling vet out now. As I said only a very small amount of watery blood and could leave her till tomorrow but best be safe than sorry. Cannot understand how all of this has come about especially having had a check and scan friday, thank you x
Beauty our little Bull Dog went into vets for an operation to clear her stomach and she is doing well now. Apparently they haven`t seen anything like it..the rubber green bits had decomposed to make a sickly matted mush in her stomach. Her tum has been cleaned out now and she is on a drip, staying in vet hospital till tomorrow anti bodies and injections now and gentle food. This has been so weird and thank you to everybody for their answers x
