“I took away from this discussion that even the staunchest leaver accepts that in the case of drivers' licences there needs to be a limited agreement.”
Indeed. The same as there are between other “normal” countries and the EU (as I mentioned earlier) and as there was between the UK and European countries before the EU was born. But it doesn’t mean that in reaching that accommodation the UK has to agree to freedom of movement, a customs union and the jurisdiction of the ECJ. There seems to be a considerable conflation between reaching a trade agreement and reaching agreement on matters such as driving licences and flights.

I believe the EU withdrawal Bill (now enacted) provides for all current EU legislation to be copied into UK law upon Brexit. No European law will be immediately lost. It will remain for the UK to decide whether to repeal, amend or maintain individual laws.

Go on then, NJ..”
The resumption of control by the UK Parliament of UK’s laws, money, borders and trade. That’s more than enough for me.
