I agree with Labour on this. In fact I don't know why anyone would not want to wait until the child is born to see what sex it is. I enjoyed the uncertainty with mine, we had boys and girls names ready etc, I stood ready with the decoration materials for the room etc.

It's $2k in the US Bednobs :/
really? Is that because it's covered in health plans?
I dunno that's the non insurance covered price, I believe they do discounts to varying insurance plans but still outlandish money :/
incidentally my nswers re abortions only relate to the NHS, no private clinics.
Even though you will be able to get nipt on the NHS in england soon, it'll only be under a prescribed set of circumstance
maybe thats the "poshest" brand test - there are several you can get in the uk and they vary in price by about 50%
Some communities are bound by dowries at marriage. Brides pay grooms family. Hence males are more valuable.

No early gender would avoid unnecessary abortion & save NHS expense.
it's probably a LOT cheaper to have an abortion than labour and childbirth, plus the financial drain on the NHS of another human being
I guess they try again until it's a male, which means long-term added expense rather than saving ...

If we're OK with this concept then a better alternative would be IVF where the "correct" sex was implanted.
In England you need two doctors to agree to a termination.

....or the cash to pay privately.
2 docs in support of dowries would be easily found within that culture.
Private is a different matter.
abortion is not limited to private sector. Its legal on NHS
The numbers speak for themselves. There are over 200,000 abortions per year in the UK. ("There were 189,859 abortions for women resident in England and Wales [alone] in 2017." - https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/714183/2017_Abortion_Statistics_Commentary.pdf)

thank god someone has used the correct word aunt lydia
the sex of the child
gender ( what they feel like ) comes later

thsi allows early abortion on the grounds of wrong sex
and should be make unlawful
And who are all these boys going to marry when they get rid of the girls??!
they'll just have to join the ranks of Incels.
ummmm that's what China found out.
Rockrose.

\\Its not disgusting its called choice.
You may find it disgusting but that does not give you the right to look down on someone who feels that is their only choice.//

So are you saying its ok to abort a baby girl.....
I'm pretty sure that was not what she was saying Dave, she was saying that choice is important and women have abortions for many different reasons, so the right to choose to have one is an important right.
