Aquarius
Good news.Just heard on car radio that the mediterranean taxi service for economic scroungers known as the good ship Aquarius as had it's maritime licence to sail revoked. Good or bad?
I believe it may discourage les autres who now know they are more likely to drown if they chance their risky endeavours to leech off other countries in Europe.Obviously I cannot provide a link yet

It depends on your personal opinion that is why I typed" Good or Bad?"
That invites you to agree or disagree doesn't it ?

I also think it is good news. People will, hopefully, be discouraged from setting off. I know their countries aren't great and there are some genuine asylum seekers (why not go to the official camps in N. Africa?) but economic migrants who just leave instead of trying to rebuild their homeland are feeble. Far too many people have died and if any are made to rethink their plans by this - then it is all to the good. We must think of the strain on many Italians as well, quite a lot are having their lives made even more difficult and unpleasant by too many migrants.
IMO
The presence of a rescue boat in the Med is an incentive to try their luck trying to cross it. They are probably ignorant how big the Med is.A rescue boat cannot be everywhere and why should it be there at all.If they are aware( the economic freeloading scroungers) then there may be a likeliehood of less bodies washed up on the shores.Cross at your own risk and drown if it goes breasts up.
They should get the message that not all welcome them rocking up and leeching off other countries who can ill afford their presence.

No I most certainly did not mean 'squatter camps' I meant internment camps. Italy has been doing this for years- since 2007 to be exact. See here:-

I should point out that the term Romanian in the above article did not relate to all Romanians but to Roma gypsies, there is also this taking place 2018:-

The Italians hold them in Detention centres and not Internment Camps. Quite legal and approved by the EU. If Romas enter a country en masse and misbehave en-masse then they quite rightly be shown the door and deported.I think your once emotional attachment to a Roma has blurred your stance on this matter.Internment camps is a very melodramatic description of their detention but given your profession I suppose is understandable. Oh dear less than 7% battery. Time to go home and recharge battery.Laters :-)
