I think the person on the show just wanted to be ramatic and get some attention, he did, and now he looks stupid. Comparing Churchill to a paedophile is outrageous.. Comparing him to Hitler is fair. There are many comparisons.

"Churchill was like Jimmy Saville".

It's more along the lines of:

"The way that Churchill's reputation was safeguarded by the Establishment was like the way that Jimmy Saville was treated."
