Cross Torn Down...
... on Greek island because it may cause offence to migrants!

I wanted to draw attention to this, I could have chosen one of several more outspoken articles, but this will suffice.
I suggest that Douglas Murray's, best-selling (and alarming) new book, 'The Strange Death of Europe' may be apt, would you not agree?

So, some group of hard-of-thinking folk take offence on behalf of others (who won't be offended an6way if they have any sense), and presumably it was the Harbour Minister of Lesvos and the Mayor of Lesvos, who, unable to think straight either, decided to offend everyone else on the island, and beyond, by authorising an act of vandalism. The world's gone mad.

Khandro, the on line newspaper is called Greekcitytimes. A strange title if it isn’t Greek.
‘If you believe that it is right to remove the cross because it may offend migrants, - and you are entitled to your opinion - then man-up and say so’
You’re not listening, are you. It hasn’t been removed because it’s offensive to migrants. Read my post above. I’m not sure how many times I have to point out that your OP is completely incorrect, as is the ‘news’ source headline.
You’ve obviously given as much attention to my posts as the article in your link.

here's another report.
https:/ /www.rt .com/ne ws/4409 98-gree ce-lesb os-cros s-vanda lized/
this report suggests the cross was erected to commemorate those who died attempting to swim to lesbos. since the majority of the deceased would not be orthodox Christians, it would seem the cross was seen as somewhat insensitive, rather than offensive.

Pehaps they would be better off addressing this than erecting concrete crosses?

By whom? not by the Greeks, for sure, and it's all coming to a place near you soon, that is if the EU, Merkel & co. have any say in it.
That above quote is from Russia Today and how many migrants are Russia taking?

hereiam
That's good news.
//According to Lesvos News, the placement of the cross caused negative reactions from aid organisations and a letter was sent to the Harbour Minister of Lesvos and the Mayor of Lesvos, by a coexistence group in Lesvos, stating the Cross was placed there to prevent migrants from swimming.//
If a Christian cross prevents immigrants from swimming why come to a Christian Island in the first place?
If,as alleged, the cross was a deterent to swimmers who drowned trying to reach Lesbos then the Greeks would be better to place it as a deterrent at the departure point. That would be err......Libya. I am sure the Libyans would show more respect to a Christian symbol in their country wouldn't they?
