Details are emerging of Jamal Khashoggi‘s murder at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul. It was barbaric, like something from the middle ages.

[Distressing reports follow]

// The journalist was killed minutes after he arrived at the building in Istanbul to pick up marriage paperwork on 2 October, according to US and Turkish press reports of what the officials said were audio recordings that prove he was beaten and drugged, then brutally killed and dismembered. //

//
Salah Muhammad al-Tubaigy, a Saudi military forensics official,is reportedly heard putting on headphones to listen to music as he begins to dismember the body, and encourages other people in the room to do the same.

According to Middle East Eye, Khashoggi was dragged from the office to Otaibi’s study next door, where Tubaigy began cutting up his body on a table while he was still alive. //

Should we accept Saudi Arabia our ally?
Does our acquiescence of the Saudis make us just as bad as they are?
Is trade (and money) more important than our moral duty?

/// How long ago was that? We can only live in the moment ///

Convenient Leftie memory lapse, or what? ;o)
Zacs-Master

/// I don't think the killing had much to do with religion, AOG. ///

Saudi Arabia is a strict Islamic country, where women are classed as second class citizen, homosexuals are thrown from tall buildings, thieves have their hands cut off and beheading take place.

Such medieval practices, such as this slaughter, has everything to do with religion.
Spath.//but my point is they've only recently started to commit terror offences. They didn't in the 60's//
Have you a link to prove your statement or is this just a guess?
Stop doing business what so ever with them and make them return to the dessert tents they all came from before the Combustion engine was invented. At least stop selling them weapons!

Saudi went to war with Yemen previously, in 1969.
Not to mention the war with Israel in 1973.
"Convenient Leftie memory lapse, or what? ;o)"

Well unfortunatly i wasn't about in the 60's
Gromit war is different to blowing up a buss of 40 school kids, in my opinion.
Spath, I suggest that you read this:-

I have Danny, if you can point out where it discussed the 60's that would be helpful.
"Anti-Western attacks have occurred in Saudi Arabia dating back to 1995."
No Gromit we should not, usual BS above about Oil arms sales yada yada but none of that matters. we should sanction the tish out out of them and get them back to their tents in the desert. I am ashamed we even talk to these low lives. They cannot be nor ever will be civilised. end of.

well, TTT, let's see you become a union organiser and explain to those working in BAE Systems or Rolls Royce and many others, Serco or Babcock, never mind their component manufacturers how you endorse them losing their jobs all in the name of one person hacked to death......? Don't think you would last long.
We are judged by the company we keep. Lickspittle country’s like ours has become will serve any master.
Morales are passé, money is the only blah blah.
