Transport Police Ban Poppies From Cars...
Not sure if we've done this one? So, you can have a Rainbow car but not one with a poppy. Tsk, what a world we're living in.

If the money was coming from a fund whoever orders the poppies must know where they’re ordering them and consequently where the money is ending up. It’s daft to say otherwise. Political correctness under wraps I reckon. A cowardly excuse.

Dad used to come in from work, polishing his glasses after riding his bike home, see some pop group on the TV, and exclaim that God forbid we should have another war, "Imagine that lot trying to wield a rifle and bayonet!"
And Mum would reply that these were musicians and war was over.
Dad retreated muttering obscenities under his breath, and Mum would shout after him, "Ah go and do bad to yourself!"

Spicey, 18:39. I think you rather proved my point.
It’s a shame you missed the point of the poppy removal being for financial reasons rather than your claim that it was banned. I make that two entirely false OPs in nearly as many days. Or was one of those Khandro? You all look much the same with your swollen neck veins and ruddy complexions.

Didn't miss the 'financial' excuse the BTP latterly put forward.
I addressed it. If you, woofgang and JTH had bothered making the most cursory of checks, you'd know that the RBL sell a range of car stickers that the officers have used every other year.
You shouldn't believe every excuse you hear. (even when you're clutching at straws to be contrary)

Diabolically sad the HM’s constabularies are becoming ever more stifled by the all-pervading epidemic that is political correctness, the very same that dissuaded several Chief Constables from tackling paedophilia on an almost industrial scale throughout parts of England in recent years.
He’ll in a handcart stuff these days, nothing less than expected.

On the face of it saying the ban is due to financial issues seems reasonable.
However that falls down when you think they could easily go to Help for Hero’s or The Poppy Appeal directly or even a legitimate outlet and get poppy merchandise that way.
As for the students, well they forget, or perhaps have never been taught about the true nature of Remembrance Day. It doesn’t glorify war. In fact I would saying it does the opposite. War is death on a sometimes very large scale and there nothing glorious about that.
