I'll believe their intentions are good when they are not getting the poorer countries of the world addicted to their disgusting "product" by various dodgy methods.

I can understand gradually trying to move away from the former business and into more acceptable ones as a balance between conscience and the practicalities of staying in business. And I can see the attraction of getting one's name into the public eye effectively side-stepping product identification laws. But if where they are moving to is heated tobacco products and a different form of fuming in public, then they are still the bad guys and need controlling. Their protests should fall on deaf ears.
Like veganism and other things alike, the issue starts at the top. The issue is the availability not the product. That can only be handled by stores, manufacturers and suppliers.
As said in the article marlbro really do not care who smokes which is why they still advertise and promote it outside of the Uk.
