I know less than nothing about football but this looks like there may be injuries or fatalities. I hope that nobody has to pronounce the owner's surname.

I used to walk past stadium every day. My partners daughter and her partner were at the game today.
As far as I can tell, at this point there's still no word on whether or not Srivaddhanaprabha was even in the helicopter. I think that means the worst, sadly.
Why does it" mean the worse " Jim ?
Well it means that they haven't been able to contact him I should think, anne.
If he were safe I find it hard to believe that we didn't know that already. I'd love to be wrong, of course.
Well , no doubt we will have all the necessary information soon enough .
Anne,
There are no initial reports of a rescue or survivors from the crash, which must indicate that everyone on board has perished.
The aircraft was fully fuelled for its journey to London and that fuel ignited in the crash. If anyone survived the impact, then it is doubtful theysurvived the ensuing inferno.
Matthew Harding, the Chelsea director, suffered a similar fate when his helicopter crashed after a match. As has already been mentioned, helicopters have a poor survival record if they malfunction.
Not looking good.

"I have seen staff, backroom staff of the first team in tears here this evening," Stringer adds. "The reception area is described as silent, people are looking around and crying and not knowing what to do and consoling each other.

It did seem that he would be, Tony.....a lovely man who brought so much happiness to the city and the team.....life is far too cruel...x
horrible tragedy,
i hope that the families know soonest, what a waste
aviation in any form isn't inherently unsafe, but it is very unforgiving of mistakes - whether made by pilot, maintainer, manufacturer, regulator or controller.
