Sometimes people need to be made an example of as to what not to do - surely this is one of those times.

On the assumption the report in The Guardian is true, then she is very clearly a liar who has tried to evade a speeding conviction, and then heaped lie upon lie upon lie.

I feel this warrants a custodial.
Do the Driver Awareness course or cough up the fine and take the points - but who in their right mind would jeopardise their reputation for a speeding offence? What a complete and utter idiot. Her career as an MP is misplaced. Parliament has enough nincompoops and liars.

not true, you only have to look at women's prisons, often in there for relatively minor offences.
Is true, read the papers. There have been many instances reported.

There are also many men in prisons for minor things.
