I disagree with her interpretation of the result too, but she's far from stupid ... which is why I find it difficult to agree that she's tried to deliver on the result of the referendum at all. She hasn't.

I think there’s a lot of nonsense talked about what would happen if somehow Brexit didn’t happen. For everyone who feels strongly about that there’s probably at least as many who feel as strongly the other way. I suspect there’s a majority in the middle who are fed up and just want an end to it either way,
This deliberate attempt to try to make Brexit revocable is an embarrasment to the country and democracy. If it ever gets attempted the split in the country will be permanent, democracy will be seen to be absent, and our system of government never trusted again in it's present form. Despite the recent political activity the only honourable path forward now is still, no-deal.
She said there wouldn’t be an early election ;-)
I understand perfectly well that people like Bernard Jenkin think the deal “isn’t proper Brexit” but the refusal by him and others (and by Jeremy Corbyn and his tribe) to accept that that is essentially it as far as Brexit is concerned is self denial. So if they vote against this they will very possibly be stopping Brexit. If you don’t like the backstop, get your **** fingers out and negotiate it out of existence. That is what it is there for.

She is not there to save face, she is there, amongst other things, to deliver the result of the referendum, which so far she hasn't tried to do; preferring to try to get some twisted exit/stay compromise, capitulating to the EU to the detriment to our nation. She's reached the stage where most have lost respect for her, and the only honourable next step is to officially accept no-deal, with or without accompanying resignation.
Does it really need pointing out again that May's deal isn't Brexit ? Indeed parts such as the 'backstop' rope us in without any control to get out. No person who genuinely believes in leaving the EU, or the state of our nation, could responsibly vote for it. One has to wonder about motives for those who claim they support leaving and yet tell us that they favour May's prevention of it, citing those few obvious bits in it that one would expect to have agreed anyway.
