What horrific thing to do to ones child, how anyone could do this is beyond me.She says he wanted her pregnant to get his way into the uk,is that an automatic right if your wife/husband is a citizen of the uk?.I would hope you would still need to pass some sort of desirability check.

The trouble is many young girls are taken abroad. Game over. Many others do not have the ability or the courage to report it.
Rape is still a crime, whether married or not. The trouble is, if one is married to a UK citizen and there is a child, there is a potential claim under "right to family life".
I cannot help wondering whether the law should be changed to the fact that a marriage can only be recognised in the UK if the parties are over 21. For those who genuinely wish to marry before that age, perhaps judicial intervention is necessary. I dont know.
Certainly when I gave notice of my forthcoming marriage recently, we were both interviewed separately and alone, but that is for a marriage here.

Ah the joys of our immigration system.
If we do allow people from "third world" countries to come here we have to expect "third world" behaviour.
Forced marriages, honour killings, FGM etc etc
Sadly due to our terrible lax immigration control over the last 20 or 30 years we are now stuck with it.
And the country is a lot worse because of it.

You do TROBs an injustice by suggesting they're Fs of J, TTT.
Like all sensible people they know there's a violent aspect to TROP and are F for frightened by it. Their sin is that, rather than trying to analyse the connection between the violent impulses and the culture in which it's seeded, they act like children by closing their eyes and blocking their ears, or they search for more comforting explanations like mental illness, or, and worse of all, they try to appease it.

emmie, but as in this case she was abroad, they have a completely different attitude in places like Bangladesh, Pakistan
ideally they should have never let people from these countries settle
here, there culture is backward and rooted in islam with all its misogyny, 7th century mindsets in the 21 century, that will never change, as the koran is...mmm the word of god.
