Hundreds of security personnel are searching for Cherif Chekatt, 29, on both sides of the Franco-German border. Police say he is highly dangerous and should not be approached.

With open borders across Europe he could be practically anywhere by now – except here - hopefully.

he could get here on one of these inflatables crossing the channel. Let us hope they catch him soonest.
I think ALL countries should have boarder control, and you should need ID to get in or out. This is the issue with the schengen agreement.
>>should have boarder control

Probably need border control as well.
Should be shot on sight if found ..

hereIam. I agree.
Really??? Surely it would be better to question the person responsible, maybe try to utilise his knowledge and catch other people of a similar danger?

Yes, Spath. No doubt he'd be very co-operative.
The idea of being interrogated and the reality are two different things.

They know of thousands who are a similar danger... They don't catch them... they let them walk amongst us.
naomi24, i wonder of that 25.000, how many are migrants..who could be deported..thus freeing up a little surveillance, and also the ones recently found in the channel, not only could they be a threat, but they are illegals who will now be looked after via our taxes, probably for life.
he's been "neutralised", in the understated parlance of the French police - https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-46561574

there will probably be the inevitable howls from those who would rather have seen him brought before a court. would that requirement take precedence over efforts to ensure he doesn't kill anyone else?
^ I like a happy ending.
I want to know who shot the Cherif….
...whoever it was, I bet he didn't shoot the adjoint…..
He's been shot dead.
Bien fait, La Police!
So, we have it now: the sheriff shot the Cherif….
//So, we have it now: the sheriff shot the Cherif//

But unfortunately did not shoot the Diminuty.
Cherif shot. Chekatt checks out.
