Yet another important member of Trump's cabinet has left.

Mattis is one of the few remaining 'axis of adults' keeping the President in check.

Why do so many people keep leaving the Trump administration?

Also, I don't have a son. Nor do I want one.
"Gung-ho Kromo" has a nice ring to it.
// Do you think ISIS has been defeated in Syria as the President claimed, Khandro?//

chilling it was - chilling when Assad's foreign minister said to the hacks - "we vonted to keel them all - but you insisted the rebels be taken to Eedleeb. From zair they will take the bus to Europe and visit you. Enjoy!"

and they kinda did

Indeed, and as the Polish Foreign minister Waszczykowski said in 2015, Syrian refugees arriving in Europe should form an army which can be sent back to 'liberate' their home country, instead of 'drinking coffee in the cafes of Berlin' while western soldiers face ISIS, he went on, " Hundreds of thousands of Syrians have come to Europe recently.
Young men disembark from their rubber dinghies with iPad in hand and instead of asking for drink or food, they ask where they can charge their cellphones."
Meanwhile thousands of American men have lost their lives or been severely wounded.
Trump didn't send them in, it was a situation he inherited, and he's always wanted them out and that's what he's doing. He has huge respect for US soldiers (and Viet Nam vets.)
Anyone who doesn't like him removing them, should be prepared to go and replace them, or send their sons.
The issue is also the timing, the speed of the withdrawal, and for that matter the fact that Trump is blatantly lying when claiming that ISIS has been defeated (shades of "the War for Iraq is over", anyone?). To unilaterally withdrawal from Syria when plenty of allies remain is highly disruptive and disrespectful. This indeed was the basic point Mattis was making in his resignation letter.

And Brett McGurk the US Syria envoy has now quit early over this.
It’s hard to see how this early pullout squares with Trunp’s manic anti-Iranian policy.

I'm sorry but this is just stupid. The USA has responsibilities arising from the fact that is the powerful country in the world, and from the fact that it has made commitments and forged alliances.

Meanwhile, the US govt effectively has no secretary of defense, effectively no White House Chief of Staff, and the federal govt is on the verge of shutdown.
The US has the Trump assassins and Fifth columnists. We have the Brexit wreckers and Fifth columnists.
And so the world turns.
So, the illegal US forces in Syria have been fighting against IS.
Lol. Been listening to the aBBC, have we?

Fair question.

A few more "fair questions".

Can you relate ISIS terror in Syria to its presence in Europe? And to EU immigration policy?

Do you and other Europeans who dothe think the arrival of another million Muslims will make Europe a safer place for your sister (if you have one)?

Will there be more or fewer terrorists attacks?

Will we need to construct more bollards disguised as Christmas trees to protect ourselves against those who find our traditional celebrations offensive?

PS: I'm open to the idea that diversity is our strength., but the evidence ain't that strong, is it?

Convince me. (That's to clowns everywhee)
I suspect those wailing about the US troop withdrawal (no date has been set as yet, by the way) are the same bunch who wailed when they went in.
I don’t think so.
I think you’ll find it’s a curious correspondence of world view by anti west leftists and non interventionist ultra nationalists on the far right -in the former case - and some people between those poles - in the latter
v_e. //PS: I'm open to the idea that diversity is our strength., but the evidence ain't that strong, is it?//
Right on Daddy!
Plus, who does everyone think these thousands of young Muslim men who have been allowed to flood into Europe are fleeing from?
Clue: Well it ain't Christians.

And here we are back on this website's favourite hobby horse. Should have predicted it really...

I'm sure the new world order conspiracy theorists will be along shortly to copy-paste some tediously long blog posts.
Or quote Brietbart.
... Or even Morrissey, why not?
Trump is a nasty self-opionated bully. Possibly/probably a sexual predator. Oh, and a narcissist.

All good reasons for "decent" people to say "goodbye and thank you", or Maitlis variations thereof
.
But why is the narcissistic bully President?

Is it because he doesn't think (unlike all the great and the good) that America should be the sump of third-world parasites?

For "parasites" read asylum seekers, refigees, pregnant women in Honduras and other variants of free-loaders.
