We've been loyal Ocado shoppers for 15 years or more, spending thousands of pounds each year.

And so what do they do each Christmas? They change their £40 minimum spend to £90 minimum over the Christmas period, no exceptions - i.e. no exceptions for loyal customers!

As non-drinking/non-meat-eating old gits, we find it hard to spend £90, so often (like this year) we don't bother, and take a trip to the Co-op instead.

What price loyalty?

If you haven't already then I'd recommend you send that feedback to them - all companies want to know how they are doing.
Wow if you don’t eat meat and don’t drink how much do you spend on grocery?
A good way to lose customers I would think.
Shocking. A company uses supply and demand techniques. What’s the world coming to. Tut. (Indignant flick of Guardian pages).

Rockrose. We don't stint on fruit and vegetables (asparagus, aubergines, raspberries, in fact anything we fancy); we have a fussy cat who rejects many attempts to feed him.

Since I'm disabled and Mrs B ain't too good, we tend to buy everything from Ocado, i.e. stuff we could get much cheaper locally.

Zacs. I would like to thank you for your intelligent input.

I think this is a really bad company policy. I bet Tesco, Morrisons et al don't do this.
I would email their customer services and have a long moan about this, with special reference to the fact you are old and disabled. You might get a voucher out of them.
loyalty is now seen as a source of profit to the retailer rather than reward for the customer
