Bridezilla Instructions Lol
45 Answers
Out of the blue my son has proposed to his gf. They are both early twenties. Within days she has gone into full bridezilla mode. Has already chosen bridesmaids dresses, venue Etc all within 7 days!
But.... she’s told me I have to wear a hat. I have never ever worn a hat, and I would feel really uncomfortable wearing one. They just don’t suit me. I thought I would be able to choose my own outfit. I’m not saying she is right or wrong as I have never been in this position but what are your thoughts??

Is this the girlfriend who was 'a breath of fresh air' a little while ago? If so, she has changed.
If every other woman will be wearing a hat, perhaps you'd feel a bit wrong if you didn't. I know what you mean though. I'm glad my son's wedding didn't require hats.
If you really have to though, go to a decent shop with a truthful friend and try on different styles. You might surprisingly find something that's ok.

Any man whose fiancee behaves independently like this about a wedding should run a mile, she isn't seeing it as their wedding but her look-at-me day and if she gets away with it she'll be the same all their lives.
She doesn't tell you what to wear, hat, colour, style, nothing, you can go in your jeans if you wish, it's none of her business! I detest stories about bridezillas, they're like that because people indulge them.

Smile and nod a lot, I'm sure you'll find someting nice and you don't have to wear your hair up with a hat if you choose the right style.
