If you rely on a Saga Credit Card for cheap overseas spending, then you need to start looking for an alternative.
I'm lucky as I have already got a couple of other 'cheap' overseas cards, but many people will be forced back onto horribly expensive cards from the main banks (with loadings of up to 6% or more on foreign usage).
It's also going to hurt people who are running a balance on the Saga card that they can't quickly pay off (or transfer) - details in the MSE article.

It's only available to people like me who used to hold airline cards, but if you did, it's worth it

I had an old Barclaycard which I barely used (kept as a spare really) - but they've agreed to swap it for one of these - the current 'best buy' for cash and purchases abroad :

Gness has just got one too (as a new customer) - five minutes to do the online application.
NB - all the publicity says 'not for existing customers' - but if you push a bit they seem to waive that rule.
