Good to see the intellectually challenged Diane Abbott is trotting out The Card again.

Does she have any other response? As far as I can tell with Abbott, if you disagree with her, you are a racist. I see she's thrown sexism into the mix as well. If she had some form of disability (other than being thick) I have no doubt she'd have gone for the trinity of isms.

Ironically, of course, Abbott is a racist having stated in the past "White people like playing divide and rule", but I suspect she's too stupid to see the irony.

Right - my question is, does this absurd woman have any redeeming features?

Indeed it is Lynne
No. She has no redeemable features.

The only reason to interrupt her is because she is wrong 90% of the time and she has to be put right sooften.
It's a pity she is not pink as otherwise she would be a double for Miss Piggy.
I first started to regularly see Abbott on ‘A Week in Politics’ with Michael Portillo. She was nearly always wrong, and Portillo ran rings around her. On the rare occassion she was actually right, she was sneering and condensending and unlikeable. So I don’t like her.
And many others share the same opinion, she is not popular.

However, the tone of some of the attacks on her are dodgy. She is an aged woman, so attacks on her looks are ridiculous. The HofC is full of fat, ugly, old men, but they seem to get a pass. Yet a not attractive black woman gets a lot of grief just because of her appearance.

I did not watch QT (I detest the format), so I cannot judge the audiences reaction. But there definitely is a campaign to vilify her in the rightwing press, presumably because she is a successful black woman.
She isn’t vilified because she’s a successful black woman. If that were true every other successful black woman would be vilified too. She’s vilified because she’s a supercilious nincompoop with delusions of grandeur who puts her foot in her mouth practically every time she opens it.
I wish someone would answer my question @ 21.54 on Friday. Would any other leader of the Labour Party give her a shadow cabinet position now? I ask this because to me she seems to have got worse over the years, not better, ie learned nothing.
I wouldn’t be surprised, Ladybirder. I get the impression that within Labour ranks she’s regarded as something of a Treasure, and as we all know, those sorts of Treasures, in all walks of life, are very often indulged.
She should not hold any cabinet position, I do wonder why she is still in the job.she appears to be of no asset to the Labour party, in fact she attracts ridicule. But to be So disparaging about her physical appearance is quite quite wrong .
Thanks for your responses Naomi and Anne. I have to admit enjoying watching Michael Portillo on Andrew Neill's show, wriggling in his seat in anticipation of putting her right on almost any given subject. So funny. And Michael did it so nicely as well.
DD, in answer to your question, No, I can't think of even one redeeming feature.

I agree her looks are irrelevant.

The fact is she has been promoted way beyond her very limited abilities.

If you YouTube Diane Abbot on Andrew Neill's show where the subject of Mao came up, it perfectly demonstrates to me that she's thick.

No chance. When Corbyn goes, she goes too. If not sooner.
She’s still bleating on about how unfare QT was and wants an apology.

They all need to grow up. Get over yourself dear you are not all that.
I watched some of question time, she was not treated as the others, very often interrupted and scoffed at. I repeat ( some of it ),
The HofC is full of fat, ugly, old men, but they seem to get a pass. Yet a not attractive black woman gets a lot of grief just because of her appearance.

Aye, I have never heard a word said about Corbyn's or JRM's appearance...nope

Clearly the vast majority of Answerbankers thing she gets stick because she is as thick as pudding not because she is either black or a woman, hence the lack of support.
Thanks Tony, I didn't scroll down. Slightly better looking when she was younger I see.
