Anyway back to the OP, Tesco is a business, if customers dont use something that is taking valuable floor space it will go. A lot of these alleged losses it appears will come from administerial and middle management. Clearing the dead wood out is normal for most big companies. Middle management often build an empire hat then needs clearing.
I am not sure about the link with high employment unless you are making the comment to show that perhaps things wont be so bad for those who loose their jobs as there is plenty of work about?
