Knife-Wielding Teenager To Have Lenient Sentence Reviewed
Initially sentenced to two years in prison suspended for two years after attacking a car with 'zombie knife'. Joshua Gardner, who walked free from court, sparking widespread anger following an incident in Croydon, south London, is to have his sentence reviewed.
Police officers in particular had slammed the judge’s decision not to jail him. Solicitor General Robert Buckland QC, who referred the sentence for appeal, said: "Gardner took to the streets in broad daylight, terrorising his victim and those members of the public who witnessed this extreme act of violence with a dangerous weapon.
