Says one thing does another.

He is a back bench rabble rouser well out of his depth. Add this to the Party ripping itself over Brexit and labour could go the same way the Tories will - oblivion.

Time will tell.
Could be worse, we could have terrorist supporters propping up uk government ;-)
COB is a terrorist supporter !
Is he propping up the uk government?
No he will never learn. He's an old hippie who's never grown up.
Assumptions and presumptions have often got in the way of hard facts on this thread Naomi.
Sorry wrong thread!

That could go for most AB threads
Lol
:o)
well he's always been the Terrorists friend, IRA, Hamas, Hezbollah etc. I don't see how he can 'block' anything though.

TTT // don't see how he can 'block' anything though.//
How is explained in the link.
no where does it explain how the opposition can block the elected government. Since when did the government need approval for things from the LOTO?
Question Author
TTT //Hezbollah was not fully proscribed. Labour should therefore support the Government’s proposal to proscribe Hezbollah in its entirety.//
yes but how could he "block" it? that's just a wishful statement, yes I'd hope that the LOTO would support anti terrorist measures but what can he actually do to block it?
My feeling is that the article should be titled "Corbyn TRIES to block", or some such. In a minority government, this would certainly need DUP approval or some abstentions/rebellions to pass, so yes I don't think Corbyn can just veto anything he likes.

Unless there's some obscure Parliamentary procedure in play here (remember that MP who keeps vetoing Private Members' Bills when they apply to, say, FGM or upskirting?), I think it would just be a statement of intent.

yes, jim that's, private members bills.
You show your credentials well Danny. Given that you read Daily Express and Daily Mail why would anyone be surprised that your views are as they are. Oh and while we're at it are you the moral and rule arbiter on this site about folk posting questions about puzzles. Some of your responses do seem to be a little on the sharp side.
