She was absolutely 'of her time' - a media construct.

I only remember the story that she received treatment for heroin addiction paid for by the BBC - not what I pay my licence for.

I was already too old to be impressed by her persona when she appeared on 'Yoof TV', but I am sad that she has died before her time.
