Cracks have appeared in Nuclear Plant, and it has been closed down, but . . . . . .

"EDF plans to ask the regulator for permission to restart with a new operational limit of up to 700 cracks."

So rather than remedy it (oooh, that costs money, which would eat into our obscene profits), they want the safety regulations relaxed.

Sounds bad, but one needs independent scientists and engineers to pronounce how near a reasonable safety limit it is or will become. Would be better owned by the public though.

So they are asking for it at the moment.

One assumes it will be assessed and no doubt the limits are so well within tolerance there is some room for manoeuvre.

But dont let that get in the way of your class warrior actions.
