I'm not.
// A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed officers received a report last month of 'xenophobic comments made online' in relation to Mr Mooney's Instagram post.
The spokesman added: 'A full investigation was conducted and it was established that no crime had been committed.
'However, the matter was recorded as a hate incident. No further police action was required.' //
Clearly the Police have plenty of time and money if they can do this

I think Kathyan’s excellent post sums it up best. //
So do I.
But aside from getting laughs, which is Steve Hughes' job, it doesn't hurt to allow for people to be offended - the issue, as he quite rightly points out, is when people are prevented from expressing a view 'in case anyone is offended', which is a ludicrous way to run any modern culture.
If you offend someone, then that's not a good thing. Again as Steve Hughes rightly points out, it's not the end of the world, but that doesn't make it a desirable situation and neither does decrying and laughing at someone because their sensitivities don't match our own.

Can I just add that I've been a rugby player ,most of my life and I've played all over UK and Europe and been subjected to pretty good ribbing everywhere, especially Scotland, and no where have I enjoyed more than the brutal game/hospitality I have endured/enjoyed in Scotland. When I was fortunate to have Scots on my team I knew I could rely on them and I know my Scottish opponents and friends are nothing but embarrased by the sort of idiot the link.
One gripe I would have is that police in some areas don't even bother turning up for car crime now. E.g. car broken into on your drive, even with good quality CCTV footage, you get an incident number for your insurer and never see a PC.
OK, I get they're stretched, but if they're stretched dealing with nonsense like this then that's really unacceptable. Who is responsible for prioritising Trainspotting insults over criminal damage and theft?

As everyone these days is looking for retrospective action I’m in the throes of finalising my claim against the MOD for all the times during the 80’s/90’s I was called Druid, Trog, Sheep Sh*gger and ‘That effing Welsh pudding’(by the 1st Battalion The Royal Scots in particular) during my time as a Royal Military Policeman.
