They'll only get the extension if Parliament approves the deal as is. That seems unlikely given the numbers, so shall I order the champagne for next Friday?

If it looked like a drastic change of course such as a long postponement was in the offing then she would surely stand aside. Apart from anything else she won’t be leading her party into another election. So time would be needed to prepare for that especially if the govt looks under threat.
Well at least, once we are out, we should be able to use the millions that we send every week to the EU in whatever way we choose to. Not forgetting the £3 billion a year that we collect in tariffs from countries outside the EU but at the moment have to hand this over to the EU.No wonder they don't want us to leave.
They do want us to leave though:

TTT // "other way round ludders, if the deal is rejected the date is April 12th" //
This from BBC website..
// If the prime minister can't get the deal through, the UK will have to propose a way forward by 12 April for EU leaders to consider.
European Council President Donald Tusk said all Brexit options would remain open until then.
"The UK government will still have a choice between a deal, no deal, a long extension or revoking Article 50," he said.//
In other words the can gets kicked down the road til April the 12th, at which point we don't leave without a deal, we do something else. Theresa May will have gone by then, and someone else will be asking for a long extension.

"If Mrs May can get her withdrawal deal through Parliament next week, that date will be pushed back to 22 May to give time to pass the necessary legislation.

It’s not easy for “bots” to infiltrate the petition-signing process. Not saying it’s impossible but it would certainly present a challenge. There were issues a few years back with the “hold another referendum one” when 70,000 or so signatures out of over 4 million were removed.
More of an issue I’d have thought would be people using all their email addresses : I’ve got about 6 for example, but I don’t know if the “checks” they use can detect identical IP addresses using different emails.
Anyway, nearly 3.5 million now: another 13.5 and Andrea Leadsom will he panicking :-)

No-deal is still on the list, the EU's deal will either be rejected again or not voted upon, May won't be gone by April 12, and the threat of consequential umpteen votes/options is a clear indication of desperation. One wonders what the HoC think will be the consequences of failing to get out after the further fortnight delay.
