Yes I know that is a contradiction in terms.

Basically I have some tiny vases (and I mean tiny) you cant even get your little finger in them. They are the place card holders for the forthcoming wedding.

The place cards are going to be on bits of wire and inserted into each vase which will have a tiny arrangement of flowers in it. Trouble is, the way the cards are printed, I have to slot them into their wire holders slightly off centre. This means that they kind of swing round.

I need something like blu tac to put on the end of the wire in the bottom of the vase to hold it in place. Blu tac is perfect and works well. But it looks naff.

Any ideas what I can use instead. Bear in mind the tiny opening and the fact that it cannot be toxic to flowers. (PS, water gel doesnt work)

PPS I dont care if I cant get them out. I shall not be worried about the vases being spoiled.
why not use a little thicker wire and bend it so it behaves like a spring in the vase - think of an upside down 'U'? Just the question of attaching the card to the wire but a good glue should work.
Yes, a dab of superglue in the bottom, and/or squeeze in a little coloured sand to hide it.
There is a white version of blu tac, if that is a more pleasing colour?
Glue dots that you get in places like Hobbycraft might be OK
Glue dots are transparent and ultra sticky, they might work.
I agree with glue dots as well. They are very adhesive.

Thank you. I shall try glue dots. Then I shall try superglue and coloured sand!

DTC - wire is too thick to do what you suggested (I've already got the odds and ***).
Would typing a thin piece of ribbon around the flowers stems and the metal place holder around the top of the vase help to keep it centralised if you can't find something clear to hold them firm enough? You could also use the ribbon as a bit of an extra fastening to the vase.

Tried that, Eve! Doesnt work and takes a while to get it to even try and work.

(Although I could be a cow and do them like that - its not a job I am doing lolololololol)
Hobbycraft.
Mini Glue Dots 300 Pack

was £2.00.
WAS £2.00
^ Not reduced twice, just the once.

Thanks Dave. I shall try them.
Clear resin would work ( as long as you obviously insert the wire into it before it cures ) x
Clear resin is a great idea and you can buy mini funnels for getting it in.

My only caveat with the glue dots, which I use a lot is how you'd get them to the base.

They come on backing paper, which you usually peel off after applying to a flat surface.
