How Have You Been Affected By Charity?
6 Answers
For a school project, please answer any questions you feel comfortable with. 1, 3, and 5 are the most important. Elaborate as much as possible.
1. What charity helped you?
2. How did you initially contact/ get help from this charity?
3. How did they help you?
4. (If not too personal) Why did you need this help?
5. How has it changed you life and brought you to your position today?
6. Would you recommend this charity to someone in need?
7. Would you ever contribute to this charity yourself or recommend someone to volunteer or donate to this charity?
8. What would you say would have made your experience better?
9. If you could meet the founder of this charity, what would you say?
10. What would you say to those who oppose charities or charitable organizations, especially those that receive subsidies from the government?

1. Trusthouse Lancashire
2. I went to work for them
3. Counselling
4. I suffered PTSD after being raped
5. It made my nightmares and flashbacks stop so I was able to carry on a normal life again
6. Very much, yes
7. I volunteer my time and but I would never force someone else to do so
8 Nothing
9 I have and I thanked her
10 I am opposed to big charities that take large amounts of the money donated for "admin costs and salaries" so that little of the money gets to the people in need. However, smaller charities such as ours rely on grants from donors and the government to survive and 95% of our staff are volunteers
