Anything Funny Happen To You Today?

I was out delivering orders to customers when I bumped into an elderly man walking his dogs. Ive seen him a few times before - lovely man - but he must have a good memory as he remembered me. We got chatting about how lonely he was since his wife died . He said he was 79 but still would like a kiss and cuddle in the evening and to go out for a drink etc, but it was so hard meeting ladies his own age.. I asked if he had the internet and he said he did. He said he had FB bless him, but didn’t really know what to do with it. Well I ended up giving him a full lesson on finding safe meet up social groups online, and internet safety, and I said I’d check up on him tomorrow. The things we do! Lol

I was walking behind an elderly man who looked like he was struggling (from the local shop) so I offered to carry his bags. He looked quite apprehensive at first until I gave him my address. We sat and chatted for about an hour. He gave me the history of the area we live in....we stayed friends.

No one came looking for me though :-D

I told Mr Smow and he said are you mad - he could have been a mad axe murderer! Erm he was 79!!! I told him I’d find him on FB and send him some tips etc. Got home and I did indeed find him! He hasn’t seen my message yet. Yes it’s only something little but I really think he enjoyed the chat. Must be awful being lonely. I could even tell him about AB !

Well I had a 'strange' caller at my door. I was surprised to see him. He looked bewildered, I said hello, is this 91? yes I replied. He was puzzled, after a pause. He asked:- I've come for the games console? I said how did you arrive here? Postcode in Satnav. That was the solution wrong postcode. No. was right but he needed the block of flats on the next road. People with Satnav seem to blindly obay :)
May explain some of the other odd callers I've had in past. I always thought they were a windup!

I have served a cold buffet by candlelight tonight. Our first guests from the UK arrived along with Storm Hannah. No power since 5pm....horizontal rain and fierce,scary gales. Will we have any trees standing in the morning? But we have a cosy turf fire, wine and Guinness and good company..... :-)
