Early doors, but I am surprised that UKIP is losing Councillors and doing badly. Yesterday, I assumed UKIP would do well.
LibDems bouncing back too, how quickly people forget.

I think the LibDem comeback will be short lived. This is a protest vote. UKIP I imagine has been over-shadowed by Nigel Farage's new party.

Not surprised. I didn’t think the LDs still existed. It’s like the expenses scandal of a few years ago. Even my Conservative area got a LD MP.
I wish Labour could take advantage of the chaos the Tories are in.

I think the Libdums did well because they traditionally contest every seat so they're the beneficiary of the protest against Cons/Labour.

No, they didn't, but Nigel Farage was UKIP. Since his departure they haven't stood a hope and now he's re-emerged with a new party they're regarded as even more hopeless.

It's a great pity and I feel sorry for the good people still among them Gerrard Batten and Jeff Taylor and many others have worked tirelessly fo years for the UKIP cause, and it was a political blunder (but not a moral one) to recruit T.R.

There is a lot of personal animosity between N.F. and them. Still, I'd vote for Nigel if I could, but I only have one EU vote and it will be going to the AfD here.

UKIP have lost 54 Councillors. So presumably they contested those seats. So the theory that they are down because they fielded less candidates doesn’t really stand up.

Labour have been terrible in Opposition, and this is the result they deserve. They crave a General Election for some reason, but they would probably lose it if one was called.

I would vote for Nigel because I think he tells it like it is and he has a lot of support. I wouldn’t vote for UKIP because I don’t think they have a hope in hell.
