PM - // Thanks Talbot, the video you posted is a real eye-opener (I'm not too concerned about the pitch of his voice, but he pitched his argument very well indeed). //
I don't think anyone is seriously concerned about the voice 'Tommy Robinson' uses, but should be rightly concerned with the words that are produced by it.
However, in terms of the video, it is interesting because it rather underlines 'Tommy's approach to his self-appointed crusade.
Specifically, he has made a lucrative career out of stoking up fear and malice towards an entire section of British society by inferring that the actions of a psychotic minority actually represents the thought processes and intentions of everyone who is a Muslim, which is patent nonsense.
However, fear and intolerance are rife in these uncertain times, and 'Tommy' and friends don't shirk from their self-appointed task of being confrontational in public, and then complaining about the reactions that ensue.
As I have said, I don't for a moment condone the violence that 'Tommy' has suffered, but it does beg the question - if he is elected, and will be required to speak indoors to people who actually know how to argue intelligently against his one-trick-pony rhetoric, how long is he going to survive as a politician?
I don't believe that he will be elected, although the current climate of fear and absence of government does increase his chances, but should that happen, I will be interested to see how long he can survive, when he is actually required to deliver on concrete proposals for change, instead of simply muttering darkly about the 'invasion from within'.
