I’m inclined to back Mr Farage on this: he’s already fled one car crash known as UKIP: that’s enough for anyone :-)

I'm surprised Ichi hasn't commented.
People can twiddle these stories to suit their own agenda. The pub landlord looks like a Tommy Robinson type :-)
https://uk.news.yahoo.com/nigel-farage-barred-from-local-pub-after-walking-away-from-crash-with-landlord-075450294.html

It looks to me that the pub landlord is rather more concerned about the written off Jag if truth be known. Perhaps he believes, like the shyster he looks, that he can milk a load of compo from this non event just because of a passengers renown.
Spath,
Please note in my link. The police are NOT investigating.
That indicates that the driver of the vehicle had stopped and supplied his name/address, registered owner's name/address and registration mark.He has complied with the Road Traffic Act with regard to DRIVERS resposibilities. What is your point? Farage has every right to leave the scene and conduct his business, as a passenger, and if the police were to consider a prosecution he would no doubt be asked to provide a WITNESS statement at a later stage.
How interesting, he looks like a 'Tommy Robinson' type and a shyster.
spath hates Farage with a passion and will try to discredit him whenever he can, even when there isn't anything to discredit him with!
Are you telling me off as usual mamya? I know spath hates TR and the man looks like him a bit to me - that was my whole point, how people can judge these type of stories in the way they want to.
Distorted none news. Must try harder to discredit NF, as I’m sure you will. 2/10.
//How interesting, he looks like a 'Tommy Robinson' type and a shyster.//
Mamyalynne
What is your view then that the landlord has barred Mr Farage from his pub when he wasn't driving the car? Do you actually have a view and don't you think that the landlord is milking a minor accident for all he might be able to get out of it?
Yes, retro, I agree that, especially in NEWS, a definite point of view is preferable to a bland meaningless interjection. I already stated my position at 1749: I really think that the pub-owner is playing for his 15 minutes of fame for himself and his business.
//Spath thinks he hopped it.//
Yes Naomi. Whilst the gobby Landlord is giving it large and milking the situation no one on AB has actually questioned the actions of the Jaguar driver and if he was responsible for the RTC. 'Hopped it'. How appropriate. Like a AB Kangaroo court.
Telling you off?

Why on earth would I do that.

Simply found the comparisons mildly amusing - the entire first page consisted of humour.

Rarely do I judge someone on how they look - Mr Farage wasn't driving as said, and no blame has been laid at all to the chauffeur.

I repeat, am glad no one was seriously hurt.
Well the language of the LL says mostly everything I need to know lol

Regardless of the car, big or small, in the case of an accident you turn to see your children are OK or need immediate attention, then get out.

NF said he got out and asked how everyone was. The LL says he didn’t. I think we should subpoena the driver for his unredacted statement.

I’m no fan of Farage but that’s irrelevant as far as this is concerned.
One person’s word against another.
Maybe Farage is at fault, maybe someone out for publicity,
Can't see how Mr Farage is at fault, he wasn't driving.
However caring and polite it may be it is not necessary for a passenger in a vehicle to inquire about the condition of the people in the other vehicle involved in a traffic accident. But because the passenger in this case was Nigel Farage things get a little, OK a lot, out of perspective.

I wonder if Mr Farage ever wanders into this pub again the irate landlord will hurl a pint of beer at him instead of the now fashionable milk-shake?
// Does this,

// Nigel Farage's "chauffeur-driven 4x4" crashed into me and he just ‘upped and left' hours before Question Time, claims pub landlord //

not give you a clue?//

that St Nige is a publicity driven con man who cares not a jot for the common man so long as he gets his MEP expenses and appears on time on television ?
yes it does give me a clue

and No I dont think St Nige gave devil man Marr a beating this morning
Marr said - you dont have a manifesto do you
and st nige said
no I dont actually .....

//Maybe Farage is at fault, maybe someone out for publicity,//

How do you work that one out? May be the Jaguar driver is at fault.
If Nigel Farage travels in a BA Airbus and the aircraft crashes are you so bigoted to blame him for that as well?
// What is your view then that the landlord has barred Mr Farage from his pub when he wasn't driving the car?//

a publican has an almost unfettered right to say who does and who doesnt drink at his pub innit ?
( yeah yeah I agree, he cant put up a notice no gypsies no dogs no st Nige)
