/// They are being represented by Tasnime Akunjee, the same lawyer who supported Jihadi bride Shamima Begum's family after she left her east London home to join ISIS in Syria. ///

I wonder if the boy's family are funding this court case or is it being left up to the good old British taxpayer once again?

How is this a witch hunt? Robinson is being sued for slanderous remarks made on social media.
Interesting. It might not go the way the ambulance chaser told him.

/// Robinson is being sued for slanderous remarks made on social media. ///

Slander is defined as oral defamation, not the written or typed word.
A man of Tommys calibre should know the potential liability for making public slanderous accusations about an individual or a group.
So he is being sued for libel.Still not a witch hunt.

Since the person only filmed the attack on the Syrian boy, we don't actually know what took place beforehand, how do we know if what Tommy Robinson accused him of, didn't actually take place?
AOG,Just have to await the outcome of the suit, but the only witch hunt happening here is your persistent bigotry against Muslims.
"Since the person only filmed the attack on the Syrian boy, we don't actually know what took place beforehand, how do we know if what Tommy Robinson accused him of, didn't actually take place?"

Because the mum who told tommy the lies admitted this, and so did tommy.
From November 2018.

//Tommy Robinson said he was set up by messages from a fake Instagram account. Former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson retracted false claims that 'Muslim gangs' had attacked a white boy at a school where bullies waterboarded a 15-year-old Syrian refugee. //

I seem to recall that the fake Instagram account was set up by someone claiming to be the mother of a victim of Jamal, in effect deliberately distributing libellous information. I don’t know how such a case stands if the accusation has been acknowledged to be false, and retracted, as this has.

It is still part of a witch hunt, are you naive enough into believing there is not an ongoing witch hunt against Tommy Robinson, both by the Left, the Media and the Establishment.
Aog, Are you naive enough to believe that there is.
Question Author

Ah!!! the insults have started, I rest my case.

Or should I just sue you for slander?
AOG, You were the first one to accuse me of being naive.
Robinson made an accusation that is both pretty disgusting and also false. I don't think it remotely qualifies as a "witch hunt" to complain about that.

/// AOG, You were the first one to accuse me of being naive. ///

I was referring to your 12:14 post.
I shal wait and see what the judgement is before passing comment on this one. Too many claims and counter claims at the moment.
Interesting timing, isn't it?

All part of the constant witch hunt against him, do you really believe that this family supported by Tasnime Akunjee would have took this case to court, if it had been any other social media user making these accusations against their son, other than Tommy Robinson?
ooooh, here we go with the 'what if' tangential comments!
If it had been some random person then it would have got less attention. The price for having a high profile is that what you say is more important, so you should put more thought into it. In this case, Tommy Robinson did not -- and, indeed, this is by his own admission, as noted in Naomi's post above.
