I imagine these old chaps despair at what has happened to the nation, infested with gutless snowflakes. Gawd help us if they are ever called on to defend the realm.

This criminal cowardly act was committed in a Garrison Town and home to the Paras. I have no doubt a few smart, clean cut young men will be making a few enquiries as to the description of the culprit and God help him if they catch up with him.I Hope Hants Police are dealing with a peeping Tom or a litter lout at the time if these young men succeed.

the irony is that these snowflakes can afford to buy a milkshake simply to lob over an old soldier who fought for their right to do so.
an old one ( pun intended)
1936 - the house will not defend King and Country - Oxf Union SHOOK the nation - depending on whom you believe

we will never surrender twopee
The fact that the guy is ex military is neither here nor there, imho. He was merely exercising his right to vote and should have been allowed to do so in total safety.
You may just be getting carried away, a tad, TTT. Don't think we have been involved in any skirmishes that have threatened our freedom during the time the guy spent in uniform.

Teach a lesson about assault with assault. hurr durr something about hypocrisy and do you think any assault is acceptable.

you miss the point ken, this man fought for freedom in WWII including the right to vote or support who you like. Not have some brainless snowflake abuse him for his choice. That's what's happening with the fascist left these days.
Sorry, TTT, but i don't see anything about WW2 in your link. He moved to England in 1960, joined the Paras and left in 1982, having served 22 years. He may have seen service in Ireland and just possibly the Falklands but no World Wars.
I agree what a savage move, assaulting a random party member is not on. I understand when it is a public figure, but randomers? So savage.

doesn't matter what war the point is the same.
Why attack an elderly gentleman who had been out to vote ?? I bet this mindless yob would run a mile if HE had to fight in a war, cowardly scum that he is! This milkshake thing is getting way out of hand now ..
Some years ago I was in a shop buying some new walking boots. There was an old man doing the same and the assistant serving me asked how old I thought the man was - he was 80. He then turned to the man and said "Tell him about last night". He had been accosted by two youths who demanded his wallet. "I'm quite good at judo" he said, "Anyway, once I'd got the big one on the floor the little one ran away".
I think this yob was lucky the ex-para took it in good humour and didn't react as he might have done.
Direct hit with a bluster buster there Ken.
