I'll soon be visiting a friend in France who has a French mobile. Do I need to use the French country code if I am in France? When I'm in France do I need to use the English code to home a mobile in England? I have an English mobile.

Use your mobile as if you are in the UK ie, add France code to dial a French number, wherever you are and just the number for a UK phone, wherever you are.

Thanks bh, sounds easy.
If your numbers in your mobile are stored in the format 07xxxxx.... when you dial the number from France, it won't work. All my numbers in my mobile are stored in the format +447xxxxx....

To phone a UK mobile from France, you'll need to add either 0044, or +44 and remove the 0. Probably better to input all your mobile numbers in the format +447xxxx..... so you won't need to bother doing it again - it will still work as normal when back in the UK.

To call a French mobile when in France (or back in the UK), use 0033 or +33
