//It doesn't mean that he's not a prize pillock and aggressive with it....// TR will always remain a highly divisive character. He undoubtedly has a certain following who see him as a heroic warrior and are full of admiration for his stance on Islamic issues among other things. However, the majority of people have not fallen for his rabble rousing ways. Who...

/// Holding that flag in one hand whilst he thumped a fellow football-supporter with the other, AOG? ///

Where did you read that he thumped a fellow football supporter while holding the flag in the other hand?

/// I take it you have nothing to say about the incident at the football match? ///

Well since you ask, at the moment we do not know what went off before, fights and scuffles regularly take place both on and off the football fields, so nothing new there then.
Question Author
Oh dear....

For a 'moderate man' who wishes to represent the populace 'politically' he really needs to reign-in his impulses to thump people......whatever they have said to him.

/// There are no 'resident post removers ///

Really???? Are you not yourself a self confessed Moderator, and have you not been known to remove posts from time to time?
Quite right. Just like John Prescott.
Football fan assaults another supporter. What's news here?. That's what they normally do.

//For a 'moderate man'//
Is that how he is described in the link or your interpretation?
Question Author
It's how he likes to present himself....a reasonable and moderate man of the people....

If he wishes to fade, once more, into the background and resume his career as a football hooligan (his soubriquet is that of a well-known football hooligan, after all) then I would have no problem with that, at all.
If you were on a night out with your wife, Jack, and some thug repeatedly got in your face giving you verbal abuse, what would you do.
nothing?
call the police?
lash out?
Everyone I know, in my admittedly working class unrefined circle, would do the latter. (and be applauded for it)
Question Author
Hmmmm.......I'm really not sure.....

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7114415/Horrifying-picture-shows-lesbian-couple-covered-blood-gang-men-attacked-them.html

But surely we expect better from those wishing to enter 'politics'?
Well done Tommy, being harassed by idiots.
Not very nice to some of your fellow ABers! :-)
I was referring to the halfwits around Tommy.
Crikey! What a confusing thread! People who weren’t present when a post was removed know who posted the offending article, and the insistence upon calling Tommy Robinson by a name he doesn’t use and is not usually known by these days, defies reason.

I don’t know if that is Tommy Robinson in the clip, but if it is, although he has much to say and much that is well worth hearing, he is at times his own worst enemy. His critics put the boot in at every opportunity whether justified or not - he's a fool to give them fuel to add to their pokey little fires.
That's terrible, Jack. The police should release pictures of the attackers.
It is Tommy, Naomi.
Naomi
I double checked how he was addressed in the title before I used Tommy Robinson in my thread.
Oh is it spicerack? Thanks. When ummmm said there was a doubt, I didn't know. I can't see what happened there anyway.
Retrocop, I just find it weird to address him by a name he doesn't use and is not usually known by. I know the press makes a big thing of saying 'Tommy Robinson, real name YL' or whatever, but I don't really understand why unless it's to attempt to denigrate him - which I suspect it is.
Henceforth, he should be known as Tommy Robinson (NHRNYK) ;-)
Question Author
To alleviate your confusion, naomi, I'll explain....

When I returned to the thread, the last answer had been removed, it still appeared on the Main News page as having been posted by v-e.
His (legal) name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon but he can also be known as Andrew McMaster, Paul Harris, Wayne King....and Tommy Robinson.

He has admitted punching the chap but, naturally, has cobbled together a sterling reason for doing so.
But he is generally known as Tommy Robinson .....
