Spath, to the elderly and vulnerable in particular, some of the effects you mention are extremely major rather than very minor.

GDPR laws on data protection are clear, and so are the consequences if you don't commit to them.

IF the GDPR legislation doesn't affect MI5, then it's up to government officials to decide what steps to take.

It would have to come out of the security budget that is provided by the government that is used to stop security attacks.
So with less money less investigation will be done and more attacks will happen - but still if your happy with that - as long as your privacy is safe!
