Whilst one Left-Wing comedian can suggests the throwing of acid instead of milkshakes.
Woe betide a Right-Wing comedian if he dares to state that the present Mayor of London has 'f***** up' his home town.
Yes out comes their Race Card once again, where is the racism in that?

A-H stated a number of adjectives to describe JD which were not complimentary. This, in no way, suggests that JD is racist despite being controversial.
As was discussed on the Jo Brand thread, perspectives were different in the 70's and JD's material then would be viewed more differently now.

Yes and as one ABer suggested at the time not for the better, now it is considered poor taste even racist to stereotype a certain group, but quite in order to suggest the throwing of acid rather than harmless milkshakes.
What are we coming to in our now increasingly violent society, when some can joke at such things?
Bring back Chalky White I say, much more harmless.

Comedy has evolved considerably over the decades with certain entertainers whose brand of material has gone out of fashion and are now in little or no demand.
Many would say that comedy of today goes too far. Generally speaking, is comedy more offensive nowadays or is it that attitudes and perceptions have changed?
Again, as was mentioned several times previously, comedy will always remain a highly subjective field.

AOG - // Why can't you just answer the question without the need to air your pointless nasty and bigoted insults. //
In the way that you voice your fear and dislike of anonymous adherents to one of the world's biggest religions on a virtually daily basis, I call out Mr Davidson for his persona, and unlike you, I can provide evidence to back up my opinion - which he offers virtually every time he opens his mouth on stage, or in public.
That's the nature of free speech, you do yours, and I do mine, and I know you would not appreciate 'the likes of me' saying you shouldn't do so - please extend me the same courtesy.
// They say much more about you than can ever be said about Jim Davidson. //
Hahahahahah!!!! I seriously doubt that!!

Sqad - // Well AOG, they were my thoughts as well and i did wonder if Mr Davidson had been an ABer ( and who knows) may well be, if the post of A-H would have been assessed as "against Site Rules and removed. //
We shall see, but it does provide a convenient post for me to remind those who constantly opine that I, and others, are not subject to Site Rules - I and they are, so if it is removed, then so be it.

Tony V - // Not a hint of racism in his tweet. He's entitled to his view the same as anybody else. IMO hes been singled out because of his "status" //
I would question if Jim Davidson actually enjoys any 'status these days - I think you will find he was 'singled out' if you like, not because of his 'status', but because of his track record.

Jordy - // Mr Hughes is entitled to view his opinion on Jim Davidson,if it’s a rant so what?so why insult him by calling him self opinionated, too many on here quick to judge others, not nice. //
Thanks for your support - I am happy to accept 'opinionated', but I think 'self-opinionated' is inaccurate.
