// So let's show the same compassion to our own as we do to foreigners.//
compassion or stupidity? - let us not send poor Tarmy to jail, coz it is an offul place, and he wont like it
Many is the time AOG that you have gloried in a prisoner not being able to get his trousers back on before the next assault !

// I wondered if it wasn’t his intention all along to get the trial cancelled. //
cancelled? it is pretty uncommon before a case has been brought but not heard, for the Crown just to give up ....
one case my brudda was involved in ( not the one who did it) The Crown gave up and the judge said - you can't ! there's a dead baby involved !
and they sort of had a hoolie for a few hours.....

// attempts to ensure that I did not run the risk of incarceration by breaking UK laws that carry prison sentences. //
andie - - is that you? I saw your sista on tv a few nights ago....
not doing it because you dont want to go to prison
is a deterrent
a lot of people ( well me actually) say 60% thos who come out of prison go back in. This would mean that prison is not a deterrent.
this means Tarmy is a walking example of it ....
75% of ex conz never work again - does Tarmy have a job does anyone know ?

ich - // As for asylum, he has always lectured certain “foreigners” about abiding by the laws of a country or leaving. So maybe he’s just being consistent ;-) //
Indeed! But Tommy is giving something of a swerve to his own rhetoric here - in his eyes, you live by the rules of the country you move to, or return to your own.
That is not quite the same as not living by the rules of your own country, and then trying to escape the rules by returning to another - which you entered illegally in the first place!!!
