Forget Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt: the Tories’ Great (possibly only) Hope is the other Jeremy. Johnson boasts that he’s the best man to beat him in an election, when what he really means is best man to see off Farage. That’s the obsession that has allowed Johnson virtually to walk into No 10 unopposed.
As for the news today, I think it hopefully shows that the influence of the hard left anti-EU elements in the party are waiting: Labour plainly has to go one way or the other in the Brexit argument.
