I would have thought that if a patient was sexually assaulted, that person would report them no matter what nationality they were.

Without knowing the percentage of NHS doctors that are foreign, it is not possible to say whether foreign doctors are more or less likely to be the perpetrators of sexual assaults versus non-foreign doctors.

"He (AI) went on in 1993 showed discrimination was widespread in the NHS. He took two sets of application forms, the only difference being one had an Asian surname and one an English surname. He then sent both applications to 30 hospitals, which had vacancies. He found that the white applicant was twice as likely to be short-listed as the Asian. For this, he was arrested and charged with making fraudulent job applications. His research was published in the BMJ, and achieved national coverage. The crown prosecution service dropped the charge, but he was threatened by the GMC with a charge of behaviour unbecoming of the medical profession.

so the answer appear to be 'yes'

and in terms of reporting sex crime
2% of rapes are reported so god knows what the rate is for foreign doctors

That makes no difference, the report states that 60% Of All Sex Assaults On Patients are carried out by foreign doctors..

If 99% of NHS doctors are foreign, then the 1% who are not foreign are behind 40% of the sexual assaults on patients.

If such a figure were true, non-foreign doctors would be committing sexual assaults on patients at a rate of over 60 times that of foreign doctors.

I should add that if 60% of NHS doctors are foreign doctors – then foreign doctors are no more likely than non-foreign doctors to commit sexual assaults on patients.

But that would not make a very interesting headline for the Daily Mail.

Yes, aog, I think we know they are more likely to be reported. It does interest me that rather than looking for honest causes and ways to prevent it, you seem to concentrate on "foreign" is bad. Did you find the statistics on how many male v female doctors were abusers? Or is that not an issue?
