Ideal for things that cost a bombe! ;-)

All well and good but I don't think I've seen a £50 note in my life!

Does anyone carry them in their purses/wallets?
I have also never seen a 50 PN
I find it surprising that people have not seen £50 notes IRL.

You must be far from working in trade jobs.

Turing is a good shout.
He was my first choice also Chill. No contest. Great.
my wages (since I was 15) have always been paid directly to my bank
I wonder if I can break the code to replicate the note on my new printer...?
//You must be far from working in trade jobs.//

A lot of people my age won't have handled one.

Maybe. It's a real enigma and a Collosus task.
DTC //I wonder if I can break the code to replicate the note on my new printer...?//

That depends surely on how enigmatic you are? ;-)
Colossus*
They've changed a lot since the old white one.
Wasn't the white one £5 Danny
I chose him too, chilld. Shame he was treated so badly when he was alive.
the first batch can always be a bit cumber-some to produce, my book 'Notes' by Hugh Alexander most useful though.
I was just comparing the difference in values.
Had the "old white one" been £50, it would have been worth several hundred at today's value...
//The £50 note ceased to be produced by the Bank of England in 1943 and did not reappear until it was reintroduced in 1981. //

Handled a few in the motor trade in the 80s and 90s.
Pity hardly anyone takes them.

I'm surprised some have never seen one either.
The one I have has got James Watt and Mathew Bolton on it
