I added Misogyny because on a radio phone-in, a woman said "that if there was a male and a female assistant in a book shop, a male customer was more likely to approach the male assistant for certain advice, thinking that the male assistant would be more knowledgeable".
I ask you????????? I gamble that a female customer would approach the female assistant for advice, it's got nothing to do with discrimination against the other sex.

We all have biases conscious or not. I think that's rather a good thing on the whole. It's kind of being "human", isn't it?
Of course, some biases can result in unequal treatment, the sin against the Holy Spirit in today's world. For example, when I was in my teens I noticed that most girls preferred athletic, extrovert hunks to tall ,skinny, bookish types like me. I might have preferred it if the bias was inverted, or, at least, that female sexual preference were distributed more equably between the sporty hunks and the bookish skinnies. It never occurred to me, however, that this particular bias was an irrational "prejudice" which marginalised the skinnies and, worse, denied them their fair share of "it". Nor did it ever occur to me that it was a social "injustice" which required a program of affirmative action to level the sexual playing field.

It doesn't, VE. Personal and sexual attraction is very individual- you are most likely to end up with the right person for you personally. This is more about subconscious stereotyping, so it is nothing like the same thing.
I'm sure, if you are heterosexual, that you wouldn't have sex with a man, just to prove you aren't sexist... women are no different in preferences.

//That aside, when is Prince Harry going to stop spouting on everything under the sun? Who is interested in his views?//
Where do you think he gets that trait from NJ? A certain pain in the neck to the Royal Institute of British Architects. He was their patron and was invited to attend their annual dinner at Portland Place. He is now an expert of course and doesn't he let every one know it.

// One might appreciate the IAT's potential value as a measure
of socially significant automatic associations by changing the
thought experiment to one in which the to-be-distinguished faces
of the first task are Black or White (e.g., "hello" to African
American faces and "goodbye" to European American faces)
and the second task is to classify words as pleasant or unpleasant
in meaning ( "hello" to pleasant words, "goodbye" to unpleasant words). The two possible combinations of these tasks can
be abbreviated as Black + pleasant and White + pleasant.3
Black + pleasant should be easier than White + pleasant if
there is a stronger association between Black Americans and
pleasant meaning than between White Americans and pleasant
meaning. If the preexisting associations are opposite in direction—which might be expected for White subjects raised in a
culture imbued with pervasive residues of a history of antiBlack discrimination—the subject should find White + pleasant
to be easier.//
there is a fella called Northam, who is now governor of Virginia

The younger Royals can't win really, I recall when William and Harry spoke about mental health and how it affected them in the years after their Mother's death.
For every one commentator congratulating them on highlighting the issue there were dissenters (not always polite comments) telling them to hush and get on with it.
Not sure we need fewer thinkers to raise topics, even though at times some appear far too trivial, we all have the option to read, digest and consider whether we agree or not.
Harry has a great affinity with Jane Goodall and their interview was always going to involve different strands of thought - I may not necessarily agree with every word said but enjoyed hearing about it.
